Greetings Dance Club dancers!
Wow, this weather suddenly heated up. It’s hawt out there, so let us do the same on the dance floor this week!
The next Cardio Dance Club class is Wednesday June 20th at 7pm, Nanaimo at Casa Loca Fitness (6330 Dover Rd, Nanaimo, BC). There is drop-in, class passes, and membership available. It’s a ton of fun, party lights and everything… come join us!
And an early announcement I’m subbing in Nanaimo at Oliver Woods on June 28th at 9:15am. It’s usually a Zumba class, so expect all the latin flavored songs in the rotation if you join.
New songs for the week
Yep, I’m pretty sure we have a new warmup for this week! There will be clips in it from the following songs:
Flo Rida, Sweet Sensation:
Jamie Berry Feat. Octavia Rose, Lost In the Rhythm
Enrique Iglesias ft. Pitbull, Move to Miami
I’m also working on Remedy Refix choreo, that might be in this week’s playlist too:
And I’m changing the choreo for J-Lo’s Dinero, which I just wasn’t happy with. Just simplifying some sections. Expect some adjustments this week!
Recent new songs
Last week I introduced Move to Miami by Enrique Iglesias ft. Pitbull. It’s part of our new warmup, and you can find the video above.
We also started a new J Lo song called Dinero (ft. Cardi B and DJ Khaled). It has a great beat, latin flavor on fire mixed with an urban feel.
Let’s check out something on the cool side for this week: hummus. This hummus goes as great on dipped vegetables (or chips) as it does in a sandwich. It’s also great for taking to a potluck or summer BBQ. It was inspired by some hummus I got from a local deli that was full of garlic and lemon, but I wanted to make an oil-free version. So yeah, it’s pretty healthy too! Find the Super Garlic Hummus recipe here.
Hummus is also so inexpensive to make at home, and you can use either canned chickpeas or chickpeas you cook yourself (cheapest option!). The water from the can or cooking is often called “aquafaba”, and you can use that in other recipes (I have a few on my recipe site). Enjoy! And hope to see you this week!
